The performer removes a phone and displays an image of a historical cypher card used to encode messages during the Second World War. But it can only make sense if the key for the card is known.

Next, the performer places a piece of paper on the table with a number sequence. The participants are told that this is a message, code actually, that will make sense if they can guess what the key is.

Instead of guessing, the performer silently transmits the key number to the group.

Did it work?

Well, they have to see by cracking the code using the key they each have in mind…it works and shockingly, a message is revealed.
